The Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform provides practice management and electronic health record management for healthcare providers.
We provided a robust heuristic evaluation of their EHR solution by conducting remote usability test sessions and evaluating the system based on Nielsen Heuristics. Through this, we were able to determine the extent the interface facilitates a user’s ability to complete routine tasks.
Each session captured the participant’s navigational choices, task completion rates, comments, overall satisfaction ratings, questions and feedback. Participants were hired from different geographical locations (USA only, regional spread) to match provided by client’s personas.
A heuristic evaluation is a usability inspection method that helps to identify usability problems in the user interface (UI) design. It specifically involves evaluators examining the interface and judging its compliance with recognized usability principles (the “heuristics”). The analysis results in a list of potential usability issues.
